The school plays a significant role in a child's formal upbringing and has a direct and unparalleled influence on their life. At our school, students have the opportunity to gain knowledge in various fields of education and learn invaluable life lessons and skills that are essential for their future success.
We take the right to education for every child very seriously. Our school is a semi-government educational institute that provides free primary and secondary education to young children. Our goal is to guide young minds to achieve academic excellence while upholding their values, virtues, morals, and integrity. The school will be equipped to accommodate around 1,000 students of our devotees located locally and from the surrounding areas. Two separate wings for male and female students will contain classrooms, laboratories, library, auditorium, among other state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities.
We provide the perfect learning environment designed to support young children aged 6+ and stretch their ambitions beyond mundane pursuits and to achieve the ultimate goal.
Our team
We have a highly qualified panel of teachers to guide the children to advance through their formal education by either following the national curriculum in either English or Sinhala mediums.
Love and care
In addition to their respective class and subject teachers, each child is appointed a personal teacher who acts as their mentor and noble friend. The student’s personal teacher is the modern-day incarnation of the disāpāmok, an ancient tradition of pedagogy which gifted our nation some of the greatest minds of all time.
Instilling virtues
We provide the children with a sound understanding of Buddhist virtues and the importance of instilling them to one’s practice. We especially focus on virtues such as honesty, appreciation of others, forgiveness, benevolence, gratitude, generosity, and altruism.
Health and safety
The health and wellbeing of the children in our school is one of our primary concerns. We have a dedicated and well-equipped medical facility supported by a medical team including in-house and visiting consultant doctors at the monastery to ensure that our students receive the best possible care.
Discipline and good manners
Our programme, which is carefully structured to inculcate exemplary manners and good discipline will help students to go on to becoming distinguished citizens within their communities.
Development of soft skills and personality
We have a carefully crafted programme to improve the child's personality and soft skills alongside their spirituality.
Outdoor activities
Children work as teams in outdoor environments weekly. This allows them the opportunity to form healthy relationships with each other and gives them the chance to explore their hidden talents.
Language Studies
The students can also learn English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Hindi, Telugu, Sinhala, Tami, Pali, Sanskrit, Sign Language, etc. to be equipped to help support people from all corners of the world.
